A True Debate

Ketchup on a Hotdog?

As many people in the world now, one of the biggest debates to ever be brought up is that of whether ketchup belongs on a hotdog or not.  Since the beginning of hot dog eating time, many people have questioned if it is acceptable to put ketchup on a hotdog.  (The answer is obviously N.O.)  There technically is not a right or wrong answer since it is the person’s own desire that trumps everything, but to any Chicagoan, it is a sin to put ketchup on your hotdog.

Many individuals will disrespect us Chicagoans and put ketchup on the dog right in front of us.   It is super disrespectful!  But if you ask any of those salty tomato lovers why they do it, they will give you the most pathetic excuses ever.  Some of these excuses are because they’ve done it their whole life or they have never tried it without or just can crap that they can spit out.  The only acceptable answer to the question of why you put ketchup on your dog is that you have never been to Chicago.

Reasons why Ketchup does not belong on a hotdog:
·       Disrespectful to everyone in the city.
·       Shows you are a baby.
·       Because back in the day, hotdog vendors at ballparks only carried mustard because bees and flies would always go after the sugary ketchup on bother fans.

Reasons why Ketchup belongs on a hotdog:
·       None.

If I am being honest with you, a Chicago Dog tastes incredible and it does not have ketchup on it.  You are free to take whatever side of the debate you want but it is pretty clear which side is the winner.  Go to Chicago and change your life by eating some of the best dogs in the world.
